The St. Ambrose Men's Golf Team finished in 14th place out of 28 teams at the NAIA Men's Golf National Tournament held May 13-16 at the Indiana National Golf Club in Plymouth, Indiana.

This was the Fighting Bee's 16th top twenty finish at the national championship in the last 25 years.  St. Ambrose had rounds of 312-290-305-302 for a 72 hole total of 1209 (+57).

Adam White (junior – Ottumwa, IA) had rounds of 78-70-74-73=295 finishing in 20th place. 
Dusty Drenth (sophomore – Davenport, IA) had rounds of 78-73-71-74=296 finishing in 23rd place.  Drew Chuipek (senior – Gilberts, IL) had rounds of 78-73-81-75=307 finishing in 62nd place. 
Chris Leiser (senior – Dubuque, IA) had rounds of 78-74-79-80=311 finishing in 69th place. 
Tim Harrigan (senior – Oak Lawn, IL) had rounds of 78-81-81-83=323 finishing in 85th place.

Both Adam White & Dusty Drenth were named as NAIA 2nd Team All Americans based on their outstanding 2007/08 seasons.  They also were named to the Midwest Collegiate Men's Golf All Conference 1st Team.  White was named Midwest Collegiate Conference Men's Golf Player of the Year by a vote of the conference coaches. He also received this honor as a freshman in 2005/06.

Four players were named to the 2008 Golf Coaches Association of America NAIA North All Region Team:

Adam White                          Final Season Stroke Average 74.2 (29 rounds)         

Dusty Drenth                        Final Season Stroke Average 74.3 (29 rounds)

Drew Chuipek                      Final Season Stroke Average 76.3 (27 rounds)

Tim Harrigan                        Final Season Stroke Average 76.4 (27 rounds)

St. Ambrose University and the Quad City Sports Commission will host the 2009 & 2010 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship at the Tournament Players Club @ Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. The 2009 tournament will be held May 19-22.  The 2010 tournament will be held May 18-21.
