May 7, 2008 – Josh Davis, who served as head men's and women's golf coach and assistant men's basketball coach from 2003-06, has re-joined the Ashford University staff after a two-year hiatus. Davis, who most recently served as head coach at Clinton Community College, said, "I am very excited to be back at Ashford. Everything really seems to be going in the right direction here. Being at the college level full-time is something I have been striving for for a number of years, so it is great to get this opportunity."

He will serve as the head women's golf coach and assistant men's basketball coach under AU Head Men's Basketball Coach Andy Eberhart. He replaces outgoing coach Dustin Bierman. Eberhart said, "We hate to see Dustin leave, but we are happy to see him get the chance to coach at his alma mater. Fortunately for us, Josh was able to return to our staff. I feel it will be a very smooth transition because both Dustin and Josh are similar in many ways. Both are passionate about coaching basketball and both work very well with me and our student-athletes."

Athletics Director Meg Schebler added, "I feel that Josh is a great addition to our staff. His hard work and dedication that he displayed during his previous tenure with us has proven without a doubt that he is the perfect fit for this position. I am extremely excited to have him back with us, and his head coaching experience these past two seasons at CCC have only made him a stronger coach."

Davis will begin his new position at the University immediately.
